Fi and Lucy // Birmingham // Wedding

A few weeks ago I turned 40. I know I only look 25 (it's the beard) - more importantly on the same day I got to share in the celebrations of Fi and Lucy's Birmingham city centre wedding. From the Harry Potter tinged ceremony (complete with Storm Trooper usher) at The Electric Cinema, through to the shots and folk-fuelled party at Cherry Reds, Lucy and Fi giggled happily all day long.

Fi and Lucy's wedding was uniquely theirs. Rather than play music during the signing of the register they showed an animated love story on the cinema's big screen. In the place of a sweet cart, guests were invited on a trip to Honeydukes for chocolate frogs and other Harry Potter assorted goodies. Instead of a sit down dinner, guests tucked into burgers where they chose their own toppings.

In a change from our regular scheduled programming there are no posed images in this blog post. More and more my lovely clients are asking me to concentrate on organic moments rather than posed images. Whilst I still do family group shots and take my couples off for portraits, for me all the action takes place naturally and undirected.

I want to thank Fi and Lucy for inviting me to share their Birmingham city centre wedding and for the AWESOME birthday present! I'd also like to thank John Dent for tagging along on second shooting duties.
